Robert Sandby started his training in 1996 at the Northern Institute of Massage. Established in 1924, the Institute is the oldest school of massage in the UK. Under guidance of experienced tutors, he qualified the following year as a basic massage practitioner, going on to obtain qualifications in Advanced Techniques and Manipulative Therapy by the end of 2002. More recently, Robert has studied the field of Craniosacral Therapy.

Robert has been a long standing member of the ‘LCSP’ (Register of Remedial Masseurs and Manipulative Therapists), The London and Counties Society of Physiotherapists, the ‘GCMT’ (General Council of Massage Therapists) and more recently the ‘HPC (Health Professions Council), set up by the government to regulate Complimentary Therapists. He has had over a decade’s experience as a Remedial Massage Therapist.

As a keen sports person, enjoying football, rock climbing, fell running, mountain and road cycling, Robert has experienced injuries in most! Being fortunate to be on the receiving end of some excellent treatment and advice, this ‘sowed the seed’ which has led him to study in this profession and combine the knowledge of partaking in sport with the knowledge that his qualifications and expertise have brought to help others.
