Rachel Jennings has over 20 years experience in her profession, and her articles have featured in Yoga and Health and Om magazines.

She offers a multi-faceted approach combining her skills in Acupuncture, Clinical Rehabilitation, and Osteopathy.

As a registered Osteopath she is highly-trained and an expert in all types of muscle, joint and nerve-related pain including headaches and migraines.

First studying an access course in Nottingham, she then went on to study a BSc (Hons) in Osteopathy, at the Oxford Brooks University and at the College of Osteopaths.

In 2011 Rachel applied for the first Spinal Fellowship for Osteopaths (usually reserved for orthopaedic surgeons) at Nottingham QMC’s Spinal Unit and was shortlisted to the final 3 applicants from a nationwide field. She is also one of few Osteopaths qualified in Clinical Rehabilitation with the JEMS approach. Rachel is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and regularly undergoes CPD training.

Her Acupuncture practice is particularly informed by the Western Medical Acupuncture model and the treatment of pain. She has completed the British Medical Acupuncture Society’s training in Women’s Health for hormonal/fertility issues and trained with Dr Anthony Campbell and Neurologist Dr Robert Gerwin in Trigger Points.

As a Yoga teacher, Rachel specialises in therapeutic yoga: using her medical, osteopathic and rehabilitation knowledge to make classes inclusive. She teaches gentle yoga and meditation to address muscle, joint and balance issues, as well as helping many other general health problems. This is perfect for those who are older, have had injuries or health issues who might find it difficult to access a conventional class. Rachel is also the only osteopath in the UK offering the brilliant 12-week Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs programme.

Always updating her skills, most recently Rachel has studied on the “Mobilisation of the Neuroimmune System” course and on the ‘Fundamentals of Somatics’ with Martha Peterson from the USA.

After 15 years’ working and studying in the field of musculo-skeletal medicine, Rachel’s methods embrace a fusion of gentle osteopathic techniques, acupuncture and yoga with great emphasis on the importance of accurate diagnosis and up-to-date research.

An exceptionally gifted and knowledgeable practitioner who has made a huge difference to my well-being.

I have been amazed at the benefits received from my consultations with Rachel. She has incisive insights into how your body is operating, which she helps you to understand in order to realise why and how your problems have developed, thus enabling you to begin to learn how to correct this. Her way of working with, rather than on, you is powerful and effective, as you carry this with you in all you do. Her positive approach is reassuring and encouraging mentally, whilst the practical results always leave you feeling so much more comfortable physically.

I only wish I had known about Rachel years ago!
