Kathryn Mc Carthy is a UKCP Registered Integrative Psychotherapist.

Who is committed to providing Psychotherapy/Counselling/Trauma Resolution in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment.

Kathryn has been working in relationship with individuals, couples and families since 2001, her career started out in advocacy and as a result of that work, she became interested in working with trauma.

In 2012 Kathryn undertook training in NLP, EMDR, EFT and Hypnosis but felt that it wasn’t quite enough when working with cumulative trauma.

This led to her enrolling on the MSc Integrative Psychotherapy programme at The Sherwood Institute in Nottingham, where she studied for two years.

As Kathryn’s knowledge of human psychological development increased through her studies, she became interested in all difficulties that can be experienced by humans as a result of what has happened in our lives since the time we were born and before, to now.

Kathryn remains in education and is currently enrolled on the PG Advanced Diploma in Gestalt/Integrative Psychotherapy with The Welsh Psychotherapy Partnership Ltd. She undertakes frequent supervision, as well as having at least 40 hours of personal therapy per year.
